We are a small 501 (c)(3) non-profit which relies on the utilization of interns and volunteers to help our business run efficiently. There is opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and insight into how a successful business operates. If you have a desire to learn and grow while improving your resume, we hope you’ll look into one of our internships.

Sportswomen of Colorado is a non-profit organization which promotes, honors, and empowers Colorado girls and women in sport.
Job Type: Internship
Job Duration: December through May (Flexible)
Job Location: Remote work with occasional in-person meetings in the Denver Metro area.
Internship Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and organized intern to assist with the planning and executing different realms in marketing, communications and social media. One might assist with communication in different areas such as summer sports camp scholarships, satellite sports clinic program (which pairs university sports teams with elementary schools to provide a camp experience and communication with numerous individuals and althetes as it would pertain to our Annual Awards Ceremony. The intern will work closely with our team to develop and implement strategies for successful programming and outreach to the targeted communities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with the execution of our sports camp scholarship program including targeted marketing efforts and outreach with camp directors as well as families of campers. Aid and assist in numerous communication and marketing strategies as deemed necessary. Help with Event Planning for our Annual Event if interested in numerous ways.
• Create engaging social media and website material to highlight the impact of Sports Women of Colorado, including impact of camps and clinics, meaningful messaging, impact statements to excite and engage/grow our audience and recognize major past and present contributors to sport.
• Update WordPress and athlete bios as needed.
• Assist with the development and implementation of the satellite sports clinic program, including creating schedules, securing facilities, and coordinating with partner organizations.Work with university sports teams and elementary schools to organize clinic logistics, including transportation, and communication.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and execute outreach strategies to promote the satellite clinic program and engage with the targeted communities.
• Create fundraising materials for the program which can be utilized all year.
• Work with community camp programs to assess the desirability in creating partnerships and organizing a camp/clinic for next summer.
• Conduct evaluations and collect feedback from participants to inform program improvements and future planning.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as managing budgets, preparing reports, and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Present a summary to the Board of Directors
Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years old and currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably pursuing a degree in a related field (e.g., sports management, public health, non-profit management).
• The ability to embody Sportswomen of Colorado’s mission.
• Ability to commit to the entire internship period as will be discussed in the interview process.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for serving underserved communities and promoting health and wellness.
• Experience with event planning, community outreach, and program development preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Experience with social media management and email marketing campaigns is a plus.
• Knowledge of and interest in sports and youth development is preferred.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Hours and Terms:
• This is a part-time internship with flexible scheduling.
• Must be available to work 10-15 hours per week from starting (now) through May.
• This is an unpaid internship but upon completion of the term and duties, there is the option to
provide a small stipend of $1,000 or less.
